Ethical Principles

Analysis support is offered within the boundaries of research ethics. The following are never provided:

  • ✕Guaranteeing statistical significance
  • ✕Choosing inappropriate tests solely to obtain significant results
  • ✕Concealing unwanted results
  • ✕Producing documents in place of ethics or research approvals
  • ✕Buying or selling authorship without contribution
  • ✕Accepting identifiable patient data through insecure channels
  • ✕Taking over the full responsibility of the research team

The support offered concerns analysing, reporting and interpreting data in line with scientific methods. Obtaining a particular result or statistical significance is not guaranteed. Ethical, scientific and institutional responsibility for the research remains with the research team.
